In Theaters This Weekend

The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent

Nicolas Cage has been quietly putting out pretty good films over the past couple of years, but I think this is actually his best in a very long time.  Massive Weight is funny from the get-go.  And never lets up.  I love how Cage was able to poke a lil fun at himself and let others join in on it.  He and Pedro Pascal make for a hilarious combo.  Definitely, the movie to watch this weekend.

The Northman

If there’s one thing I love, it’s when a movie isn’t afraid to be brutal.  And beautifully brutal is exactly what we get in The Northman.  Alexander Skarsgard is awesome in this role.  As we get a look at what life really could have been like during this time of the Vikings.  Stunning visuals with the costume design, the set design, and cine photography.  And a final act that really kicks ass.  It may not end up being the classic that other movies similar to its style, like Braveheart, but still one that will impress.

The Bad Guys

Now I didn’t see this one in advance, but from what I understand, it’s gonna be a pic that kids and adults will be able to enjoy.  With an all-star cast of voices led by Academy Award Winner, Sam  (The Wolf), the Bad Guys try to pull off their biggest con… becoming model citizens.
